(KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (AP) — The U.S. paid $50,000 in compensation for each villager killed and $11,000 for each person wounded in a shooting rampage allegedly carried out by a rogue American soldier in southern Afghanistan, Afghan officials said Sunday.
The families were told that the money came from President Barack Obama. The unusually large payouts were the latest move by the White House to mend relations with the Afghan people after the killings threatened to shatter already tense relations.)
While there is no denying this was an unfortunate happenning , I have 3 points to make here.
1;- Has the Afghan goverment ever paid compensation to the Families of american soldiers that they've murdered ? Does Obama really think that's where it'll all end ?
2;- Many of our returning men and women in uniform have come home to find Uncle Sam is foreclosing on their mortgages and taking away their houses. Not only that, the jobs their employers were supposed to had kept for them are NO LONGER WAITING FOR THEM. Now, these creepo banks get away with murder because they are backed by the law no matter what, and these employers as well as these banks could be force to do the right thing if our POLITICOS's hearts were with the people that elected them. Instead, Obamo ( sorry, Obama ) has chosen to " Kiss Up " in the name of politics.
3;- This only makes my dislike for our elected politicos even stronger, for Obama and company are showing that Uncle sam is " Light of the street & darkness of the house " .
